Miss Fortune is one of the most offensive champions in League of Legends.
And although her traditional ADC build offers many advantages, full lethality Miss Fortune has become one of my favorite playstyles in season 13.
If you’ve never tried lethality MF, trust me, you’re in for a treat!
In this post, you’ll find all you need to know about building and playing lethality Miss Fortune. You’ll get the best runes, items, and tactics for carrying games on lethality MF.
That said, let’s jump into the guide and see how this build works in LoL.
Is Lethality Miss Fortune Any Good?

Not only is lethality Miss Fortune one of the deadliest builds in League of Legends, but the build also changes MF’s playstyle for the better.
With enough lethality, MF no longer needs to be in auto-attack range at all times to deal damage. Instead, she can spam Q and R to carry games.
The lethality build for Miss Fortune often does more damage than her regular ADC build. And the reason for it is simple – armor penetration.
When you build lethality, your physical damage ignores your target’s armor by a large amount. It bypasses the exact number of armor your enemy has for the exact number of lethality you have.
For example, if you have 50 lethality on Miss Fortune, your auto-attacks, Qs, and ultimate shots will deal damage to Lucian as if he had -50 armor. That’s why lethality Miss Fortune does so much damage to all enemies and can even one-shot tanks.
Aside from the raw damage from the lethality items, Miss Fortune can remain relatively safe with this build even in a team fight. Her ultimate is the main source of damage here and she has it every 20-30 seconds. Her Q can be a filler attack together with her basics.
But if you need to run away and reposition, usually a Q and an auto-attack is enough to take an enemy to 50% HP so they would leave you alone.
That’s why this lethality Miss Fortune build is so good in s12 of LoL!

Lethality Miss Fortune S13 Runes

- Dark Harvest
- Cheap Shot
- Eyeball Collection
- Ultimate Hunter
- Transcendence
- Scorch
DARK HARVEST is the most fun keystone in League of Legends. It allows you to collect the souls of your enemies when they are below 50% HP. Each soul stack increases your next damage against them when they’re low. Dark Harvest is adaptive damage, so for Miss Fortune, it is physical and benefits from her lethality items.
Dark Harvest is a valuable rune to have for late-game scaling in League of Legends. MF can easily collect stacks with her E and R, so it’s best to take it in all games.
CHEAP SHOT is a simple rune that your damage done to enemy champions that are under any effect of crowd control. For Miss Fortune, Cheap Shot works well because it synergizes with her E – Make it Rain.
Each time you slow your opponents with Make it Rain, Cheap Shot will allow you to deal bonus true damage to them. The rune has only 4 seconds cooldown and it practically activates with every usage of E.
EYEBALL COLLECTION is a rune that passively increases your attack damage. Each champion takedown grants you a bit of AD and the maximum amount that you can get is 18 bonus AD at max stacks.
So, it’s a free way to become more powerful.
ULTIMATE HUNTER is an essential rune on lethality Miss Fortune because you depend on Bullet Time more than anything else. Ultimate Hunter also works on champion takedown stacks and it’s best to play aggressively and collect them early on.
With this rune, MF’s ultimate becomes a 20-seconds cooldown ability in the late game. And sometimes you can even use it twice in the same team fight. So, it’s an invaluable rune to have.
TRANSCENDENCE is a fantastic rune for getting free ability haste in League of Legends. It grants 5 ability haste on level 5 and 5 on level 8. And from level 11 onwards, Transcendence starts to reset your basic abilities upon a champion takedown which is great for team fights.
SCORCH is one of my favorite runes for poking champions, including Miss Fortune. It will burn your targets for additional damage when you use an ability so it perfectly synergizes with MF’s E. Scorch has only 10 seconds cooldown and can help you dominate the laning phase.

Lethality Miss Fortune S13 Items

- Manamune
- Ionian Boots of Lucidity
- Duskblade of Draktharr
- Axiom Arc
- Serylda’s Grudge
- Edge of Night
MANAMUNE is the first item you need to purchase on lethality Miss Fortune. And if you start the game with Tear of the Goddess, you’ll only need to continue buying Long Swords when you go to the base.
Manamune increases your mana but also your attack damage based on how much maximum mana you have. On lethality Miss Fortune you’ll use your abilities more often, so you’ll definitely need the extra mana, damage, and ability haste.
IONIAN BOOTS OF LUCIDITY are the best pair of boots for any lethality build, including this one. For only 950 gold, Ionian Boots offer 20 ability haste. This is a huge deal, especially in the early game when you can make MF’s Q a spell of 3 seconds cooldown.
DUSKBLADE OF DRAKTHARR is the best mythic item for lethality Miss Fortune. It builds with Long Swords and significantly increases your damage. Duskblade offers lots of ability haste and lethality, so it’s the best choice overall.
Another reason why you want to play with Duskblade of Draktharr is the passive. Duskblade grants you invisibility upon a champion takedown, so it helps MF kite enemies in a team fight.
AXIOM ARC is the lethality item you buy specifically for Miss Fortune’s ultimate. Not only does this item grants so much ability haste, but it also refreshes a portion of your ultimate upon a champion takedown.
And if you slay more than 3 enemy champions with MF’s R, the ultimate will be completely reset.
SERYLDA’S GRUDGE is one of the best armor penetration in League of Legends. It’s especially powerful in the late game because it significantly boosts your damage output.
Serylda’s Grudge gives you 30% armor penetration, besides the raw AD and ability haste.
This item is also great for Miss Fortune because it applies a slow effect on her abilities. With it, MF’s ultimate will slow all enemies caught inside the cone and essentially trap them inside.
EDGE OF NIGHT is the last item I usually build on lethality Miss Fortune. MF is a squishy ADC champion with every build she uses, including this one. Edge of Night helps you by protecting you against incoming crowd control abilities such as Ashe’s R.
And it’s very useful against countering mages and assassins.

Optional & Situational Items for Lethality Miss Fortune
As with all builds in LoL, sometimes you need to make room for situational and optional items.
Eclipse is another lethality mythic item that works well on Miss Fortune. She can easily proc its passive and gain a shield in a fight. Eclipse also helps with self-healing, so it’s a better defensive mythic than Duskblade.
Chempank Chainsword and Serpent’s Fang are must-have items for countering shielding and healing in League of Legends.
And Guardian Angel is one of the best defensive items in the whole game. So make sure to build it if you need to survive Zed.
Skill Order and Summoner’s Spells for Lethality Miss Fortune
When it comes to ability maxing, the answer is obvious. You want to max out Miss Fortune’s Q first, and her E second. Double Up does so much damage early on, so you need it in the early and mid game.
As for Summoner’s Spells, Flash and Ignite can work extremely well, especially if you play aggressively. Flash and Exhaust can be very good for countering assassins. And Flash plus Barrier can help you survive longer.
But if you’re in the bot lane, Flash and Heal is a great combo to have too.

How to Play Lethality Miss Fortune? (Bonus Tips)
Here are my general tips for playing lethality Miss Fortune in League of Legends.
Always purchase Tear of the Goddess early on. Tear of the Goddess is my starting item on lethality MF. It provides so much more mana and you can practically spam Q and E in the lane. And later I upgrade it to Manamune.
If you want more damage, you can start with a Long Sword and three Health Potions. Just don’t forget to purchase Tear on your first back to base.
Don’t forget to auto-attack when you have the chance. Since you won’t be building attack speed and your damage will mostly come from Q and R, it’s easy to forget about MF’s auto-attacks.
But the lethality items will make your basics so deadly that you’ll miss out on a lot of damage if you don’t use them.
Spam Q as often as you can. Miss Fortune’s Q – Double Up is a point-click ability that deals an insane amount of damage, especially with lethality items. With this build, Double Up will have a 1-2 seconds cooldown, so make sure to tap that button as often as you can.
Make sure to use your ultimate well. It’s no secret – MF’s ultimate is the main source of damage with this lethality build. And even though you’ll have it every 30 seconds, it’s important to use it well.
So, aim it on multiple enemy champions and watch their health bars disappear!

Conclusion
And that’s all on lethality Miss Fortune. This playstyle is tons of fun I can’t help but recommend you try it out. Lethality Miss Fortune simply hits like a truck with her Q and her ultimate can delete all enemy champions on your screen.
If you’re unsure, just copy-paste the runes and items you see above and you’ll be good to go.
